Chartway Credit Union congratulates Stephanie Harney on her recent promotion to the newly created position of vice president of member care.
Harney, who joined Chartway in 2006 as a member of the retail team, has advanced through several roles. These include director of sales support in 2013, market director in 2017, director of member support services in 2019, and director of member experience in 2021.
“During her 17 years with Chartway, Stephanie has had a significant impact on our organization,” said Chartway president and CEO, Brian Schools. “She’s successfully served our members, communities, and team in multiple leadership roles. She’s a passionate credit union advocate who has earned the prestigious Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) designation and we’re excited to see how she continues to shape our credit union and the industry.”
“I’m thrilled to embark on this journey, driving our call center and virtual teams toward a new era of excellence,” said Harney. “Our collaborative efforts aim to create exceptional experiences for our members and set new benchmarks in service.”
As vice president of member care, Harney will lead the member solutions center, alternative channels, and member experience teams. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Virginia Wesleyan University.
