Virginia Beach, VA (June 23, 2022) – Chartway is proud to announce that Doug Almeida has been promoted from director of lending analytics to serve as our vice president of digital banking.

Almeida joined Chartway’s consumer lending team in 2019, providing strong leadership for the development and execution of a comprehensive analytics strategy and robust insights for driving critical business decisions supporting Chartway’s growth plans. He brought a keen understanding of internal and external business dynamics relating to lending and collections to support senior leaders and managers in ongoing initiatives.

In Almeida’s new role as vice president of digital banking, he will be responsible for continuing to evolve a connected digital experience strategy that drives member satisfaction and credit union growth. He will also design and execute the credit union’s digital roadmap, defining member needs and journey (UX/UI) as well as focusing on initiatives that accelerate revenue, enhance core digital banking product capabilities, and increase digital adoption and usage. Almeida is a graduate of the University of Tampa where he earned a bachelor of arts in history.
